IaC Security Leader oak9 Announces Native Integration with Microsoft Azure – PR Web

oak9 recommended security and compliance fixes directly in Azure Repos

“We needed a platform that would fit in our SDLC [software development lifecycle]…oak9 has made it easy to prioritize security along with product features.”

oak9, developer-first IaC security leader, today announced it is now a Microsoft Azure IP co-sell partner and released a native integration for Azure Repos, continuing the company’s drive to make its Security as Code platform available to customers wherever they do their work.

The Azure IP co-sell relationship between Microsoft and oak9 is an incentive program geared toward partners so that Microsoft and oak9 can jointly go-to-market to support Azure customers’ IaC security needs.

oak9’s Azure Repos integration allows customers to monitor and analyze Terraform natively in Azure Repos. The repo can be analyzed manually or on a recurring schedule, with tailored IaC fixes via pull requests with recommended changes for any security and compliance gaps found directly in Azure Repos. oak9 customers continuously monitor their Infrastructure as Code, finding design gaps early in the CI/CD process to reduce the cost, effort, and headaches of securing cloud native applications.

“We are absolutely focused on Microsoft’s Azure ecosystem. You can see that based on what we support today, and how quickly oak9 added support for Azure APIs, Azure DevOps, Azure Boards, Github (now a part of Microsoft) and now Azure Repos,” said Matt McGillen, VP Partnerships and Alliances at oak9. “With every product development sprint, we add more support for Azure cloud native components, and we’ll continue rolling out integrations to provide customers with even more options.”

“We needed a platform that would fit in our SDLC [software development lifecycle],” said Cohesion, a Microsoft Azure and oak9 customer. “Not only to notify us of ongoing security checks and risks, but also to auto-create work tickets with appropriate criticality level. oak9 has made it easy to prioritize security along with product features…”

oak9 recently shipped an industry-leading Infrastructure as Code (IaC) remediation capability and last month announced an $8 million round of additional funding, bringing the company’s total to $14 million raised over the last 15 months. The Chicago-based company moved into a new Michigan Ave. headquarters and recently expanded its presence in India, one of the fastest growing IaC markets in the world.
